We're in China
Hi all, Rupert here
Just a quick post to say we have got to China and are now in our apartment. It is pretty cool, as is the university. The place is a real mix, some home comforts (massive TV, internet, mobile phone, air conditioning) and some skank to deal with (no English TV channels, cockroaches). Generally, the place is really nice, the uni seems very modern (only four years old) and very well run, the guy who is our liaison with the uni is really nice, very friendly and very efficient.
We'll sort out some photos of our flat and the uni so you can see them. Hannah is teaching from Tuesday, I, however, am not teaching for two weeks coz I am just teaching freshmen and they are having their military training at the moment, which is strange to see, lots of 1st years lined up in uniform marching up and down the campus and singing songs.
Right, we've got lost/dvds of films that aren't even out in the UK yet to watch and re-heated Chinese food to sort out, so, I'm off.
